Last weekend, when President Donald Trump sent out a series of tweets about Baltimore and the current state of the city, outrage ensued.
….As proven last week during a Congressional tour, the Border is clean, efficient & well run, just very crowded. Cumming District is a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess. If he spent more time in Baltimore, maybe he could help clean up this very dangerous & filthy place

Why is so much money sent to the Elijah Cummings district when it is considered the worst run and most dangerous anywhere in the United States. No human being would want to live there. Where is all this money going? How much is stolen? Investigate this corrupt mess immediately!

Those on the left, in the media and some on the right, called Trump’s tweets racist.
Why? Well, even though Trump never said anything about race in the tweets in question, that district is represented by Democrat Elijah Cummings.
Earlier this week, former Major League Baseball player Johnny Damon was asked about Trump’s recent Twitter controversy. Damon, who played for the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Indians during his 17-year MLB career defended Trump.
In the video, Damon was asked his thoughts on Baltimore and whether he enjoyed his time in the city. He says did but more so during the earlier stages of his career but that later he noticed a change in the city.
Damon says Trump, while he could’ve used different phrasing, is not wrong. He says that Baltimore used to be a great city to visit but that toward the end of his career players didn’t enjoy going back to Baltimore.
