It looks like the on-going feud between the President and Baltimore’s Elijah Cummings may extend into a second weekend.
After the news broke that Cummings home was broken into, the President tweeted about the incident in a manner that’s being criticized by everyone from Nikki Haley to all the Democrats running for the highest office in 2020.
“Really bad news! The Baltimore house of Elijah Cummings was robbed. Too bad!”, tweeted the President.

Hollywood weighed in, with Patton Oswald and Jon Legend sharing their feelings on the tweet.

I want to apologize for calling POTUS a POS this week. I was mistaken. At least excrement has a useful biological function. https://t.co/SOeYEbqamN

Melania also got brought into the mix, with one person saying “#BeBest begins at home.”

Cummings made a statement about the break-in, saying, “I was notified of the intrusion by my security system, and I scared the intruder away by yelling before the person gained entry into the residential portion of the house. I thank the Baltimore Police Department for their response and ask that all further inquiries be directed to them.”
He has not responded to the President’s tweet.
