Our legal system, while often slow, is the best in the world. Is it flawed? Yes, of course there are problems.
But if you were to find yourself in the unfortunate position of being accused of a crime, you’d likely to have you’re case deliberated in the American legal system than about anywhere else in the world.
However, for a the good that our legal system does, there are people who take advantage of it. Look at all the idiotic cases where people are suing one another for massively insane sums for insane reason. Also, ambulance-chasing lawyers on ridiculously low budget commercials “refuse to take a dime until you get paid” are about the lowest form of life.
As bad as those cases may be, this case from the NFL is real close to those others. A judge in Louisiana is requiring the commissioner of the NFL, Roger Goodell, and three NFL refs to appear in court….to answer questions about the no-call pass interference in last year’s playoff game between the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams.
I understand the people of New Orleans are probably still upset about that no call but this is wholly unnecessary and a complete waste of time and taxpayer money.
