The Democrats will take the stage this week, trying to make their case as to why they are the best to take on President Trump in 2020.
Ten Democrats will debate Tuesday in Detroit and on Wednesday another group of 10 will discuss issues, talk over one another and call each other names.
In addition to the economy, climate change and immigration, Trump will be a topic that comes up over and over Tuesday and Wednesday. Prior to this week’s debate, South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg started the attacks on Trump, saying that no one like Trump “should be within cheating distance of the White House.”
Pete Buttigieg speaks in Detroit: "We've got to ask ourselves how you get a President like this one in first place. Because somebody like Donald Trump should not be able to get within cheating distance of the Oval Office." pic.twitter.com/RwtlPdIUZp
