Any and every time a coward needlessly guns down innocent people, it’s a tragedy. There are no ifs ands or buts about it.
The loss of life should always hurt, it’s the most precious commodity we have as human beings. So when the man now identified as 19-year-old Santino William Legan murdered three and injured 12 people at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in California Sunday, it should cause heartache.
To think people are this cruel is astounding and it reminds us of the evil that exists in this world each and every time it occurs. But why is it that every time these tragedies happen, it’s essentially a reflex of those in our government to want to disarm the law abiding citizens.
That was former Vice President Biden’s response to Sunday’s fatal shooting in California. Biden said it’s time to reform our laws, asking how many families must be affected by gun violence.
This violence is not normal. How many more families will have to lose a loved one before we fix our broken gun laws? We must take action, starting with real reform.
Our thoughts are with everyone in Gilroy this evening. Enough is enough. https://t.co/wHqY9RE8Nu

But let’s remember this shooting happened in California. The west coast state has some of our country’s most toughest guns laws. What law would Biden enact or what policy would he implement that would’ve prevented such a tragedy?
Would taking guns out of the hands of legal gun owners have helped the innocent or the lawbreaker?
