REPORT: Louisiana police officer’s Facebook post suggests shooting AOC

According to a New Orleans newspaper, a Louisiana police officer posted a threatening status on his Facebook page that was aimed at New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Charlie Rispoli, who serves on the Gretna Police Force, called AOC a “vile idiot” and also said she “needs a round, and I don’t mean the kind she used to serve.”

Gretna Police Chief Arthur Lawson called the post “disturbing” and told the outlet, “I will tell you this: This will not go unchecked. I’m not going to take this lightly and this will be dealt with on our end. It’s not something we want someone that’s affiliated with our department to make these types of statements. That’s not going to happen.”

“Whether you agree or disagree with the message of these elected officials and how frustrated you may or may not get, this certainly is not the type of thing that a public servant should be posting,” he Lawson continued.

Rispoli appears to have deleted his Facebook account since the incident, but the newspaper got a screenshot of the post and it can be viewed on their page.
