President Donald Trump’s tweets about the four members of the squad – Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar and Ayanna Pressley – are not doing him any favors.
Why he continues to post about them doesn’t may any sense. It isn’t making things better or easier for himself or his administration. It does nothing but take attention away from the economic numbers and ultimately, it’s those numbers, not his tweets, that will get him re-elected.
Anytime, he tweets something about Omar or AOC, that’s what the media will focus on and that’s what they will talk about.
On Sunday, Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney appeared on CBS and tried to make this exact point that the media wants to continue focusing on tweets instead of the actual policies of any of the four women.
We have fundamental policy differences with our Democratic colleagues who would like to impose socialism on our country. Unfortunately, the media isn’t concerned about substance. pic.twitter.com/OtTn4cbeYg
