Sanders’ actions not matching up with words: Campaign staffers paid less than $15 an hour

Democrats love to talk about social justice, advocating for the little guy who has been pushed around his entire life after being taken advantage of by the big, greedy white men. And nobody loves bringing this up more than Vermont democratic-socialist and rich, old white man Bernie Sanders.

What is Sanders’ solution? What would help make all of the little guy’s problems just go away and balance the scales in their favor?  Well, raising the minimum wage to $15, dontcha know?

Well,  it appears the millionaire senator from Vermont’s actions may not be entirely matching up with his big, bold social justice declarations.

Apparently, field staffers on the Democrat’s presidential campaign aren’t paid $15 an hour. Instead, they are making closer to $13 an hour. That’s because the campaign’s field staff – generally the lowest paid staffers on a campaign – are being typically working six days a week, 10 hours a day, making their come out lower than what the Bernie has constantly advocated.

Even liberal outlet VOX called out the Sanders’ campaign for refusing to adhere to their own rhetoric.

In a draft of an union letter to be sent to the Sanders campaign manager (the campaign unionized earlier this years), staffers are basically being paid starvation wages:

“Many field staffers are barely managing to survive financially, which is severely impacting our team’s productivity and morale. Some field organizers have already left the campaign as a result.”

I’m not one to tell others what they should pay their employees. Employers should have the ability and freedom to pay those who work for them what they are worth and what the market decides. However, when you’ve been one of the loudest voices pushing for a $15 minimum wage for everyone else to follow and you can’t even adhere to it yourself, then you deserved to be called out for it and receive all the criticism and ridicule that may follow.

Remember when Mr. SJW pulled yet another look-at-me stunt when he showed up to Walmart’s annual shareholder’s meeting and pushed to them to raise their minimum wage?

I guess the Sanders campaign is just another example of a greedy, rich old white man taking advantage of the little guy.
