I’ve been binge watching The Walking Dead (I know, late to the party) and just finished season 8 on Netflix. From what I hear, Andrew Lincoln’s character Rick Grimes “dies” in season 9, yet his story isn’t over even if the graphic novels just came to an unexpected conclusion.
Fans knew a movie was coming, but at Comic Con in San Diego today, more details were announced and a teaser trailer was released for the feature film which will only be shown in theaters.
Scott Gimple will write the screenplay and while it was thought production would start this year, there was no mention of that during the panel.
Unrelated to the movie, it was also announced that Danai Gurira (Michonne) will depart the series in season 10.
