Following NBC’s two-night Democratic debate in June, the candidates are set to take the stage again this month, this time on CNN.
On Wednesday afternoon, CNN announced the candidates who had made the cut and who will appear in their two-night debate in Detroit on July 30 and 31.
The 2020 Democratic candidates who qualify for CNN’s debate have been announced:
Bennet
Biden
Booker
Bullock
Buttigieg
Castro
De Blasio
Delaney
Gabbard
Gillibrand
Harris
Hickenlooper
Inslee
Klobuchar
O’Rourke
Ryan
Sanders
Warren
Williamson

The DNC had said for their second debate they were upping the ante on both the percentage of support in the polls and number of campaign donors. That doesn’t appear to have happened as people such as New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, Beto O’Rourke and Marianne Williamson made the cut.
With 10 candidates on both nights, this second round of debates will probably be as much of a mess as June’s debate.
