Parents take down ‘Mini AOC’ parody account after getting death threats

You’ve probably seen the cute little girl who has been going viral with her parody photos of New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Just a few days ago, she recreated the photos of AOC visiting the border before she ran for office.

But after repeated harassment and death threats, the parents of Ava, who called herself “Mini AOC”, have decided to take the Twitter account down where the eight-year-old shared her parodies of the congresswoman.

“Ava will not being doing any more MINI AOC content. The Left’s Harassment and death threats have gone too far for our family. We have been getting calls on our personal phone numbers. For our safety and for our child’s safety, we deleted all Mini AOC accounts,” one of her parents wrote on their Twitter account.

While it was kind of funny the first time, it’s probably for the best that the account was taken down and even sadder that the reason behind it was because people were threatening a child.

It’s never a good idea to exploit/expose a child to the internet mob and it sounded like the family was hoping to profit off her internet fame – before the account was disabled the mother of “Mini AOC” had listed an e-mail address to contact for outlets looking to book her.
