Eric Swalwell, if not for New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, would be the worst candidate running for president. Even then it’s still very, very close.
Rep. Swalwell’s poll numbers, like those of a number of Dem candidates are abysmal. They are still awful even after appearing in a nationally-televised debate.
The California representative went on CNN where he was asked about his terrible numbers and lack of support. It went just as well as you’d have thought.
The CNN anchor points out that Swalwell is still, even after debates, poll at 0%. Swalwell, not being the sharpest guy in Congress, points out that 57% of those polled didn’t watch the debate.
But Swalwell pointing out this fact doesn’t help his case. CNN’s anchor retorts that is true but comes back and says he didn’t do so hot with the 43% that actually did watch.
.@ericswalwell defended his asterisk on CNN's new poll, saying that was because most of those polled didn't watch the debates.@JohnBerman said that was true except he still was at 0% among those who did watch the debates.https://t.co/XemEsNMN12 pic.twitter.com/SCqpNq0Gpn
