As I’ve said before, the two worst Democratic presidential candidates both come from the state of New York: New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.
Both are in a virtual tie when it comes to the official title holder of worst candidate running for president. Honestly, it depends on the day because you never know what dumb or cringeworthy thing either of them will do.
Well, today it seems it was de Blasio’s turn as he held a rally at Miami’s airport where he fired up the crowd and at one point said: “Hasta la victoria, siempre.”

That quote, from Marxist and Cuban revolutionary figure, Che Guevara, who fought with Fidel Castro to overthrow the Cuban government, translates to “Until victory, always!”
This move is especially stupid because south Florida because of the history of the Cuban people escaping the oppressive Castro regime.
Apparently, the New York City mayor had absolutely no idea what he was saying or what it meant as he apoligized later on Twitter.
I did not know the phrase I used in Miami today was associated with Che Guevara & I did not mean to offend anyone who heard it that way. I certainly apologize for not understanding that history. (1/2)

I only meant it as a literal message to the striking airport workers that I believed they would be victorious in their strike- BdB. (2/2)
