US soccer player: ‘I’m not going to the f**king White House’

The 2019 Women’s World Cup is currently underway and the United States’ team, in their latest match defeated Spain 2-1. Next up, in the quarterfinals, the United States takes on France Friday afternoon.

Now, while not being a soccer fan at all, I can still appreciate the athletic ability, dedication and skill that it takes to go up against the best of the best in the world. Will I be rooting for the women’s team to win? Sure. Will I sit down and watch a minute of the tournament? No, of course not, it’s soccer.

Now, if the women are able to put together a string of victories and win the entire tournament, they’ll likely be invited to the White House afterward to celebrate their victory with President Trump.

However, one player on the team has made her feelings on Trump abundantly clear is Megan Rapinoe. You’ll likely remember Rapinoe because she consistently takes a knee during the nation anthem.

During a media availability before the start of the tournament, Rapinoe was asked if she would be visiting the White House if the women’s team were to win.  She didn’t mince words, saying “I’m not going to the f**king White House. We’re not gonna be invited.”
