A replacement for Sarah Huckabee Sanders has been announced. Stephanie Grisham will assume the position after Sanders leaves at the end of June. Grisham is currently serving in the Trump administration as Melania Trump’s spokeswoman.
The First Lady tweeted the news today, saying she can’t think of a better person for the role.
I am pleased to announce @StephGrisham45 will be the next @PressSec & Comms Director! She has been with us since 2015 – @potus & I can think of no better person to serve the Administration & our country. Excited to have Stephanie working for both sides of the @WhiteHouse. #BeBest

And according to The Hill, Grisham will also take on the position of White House Communications director, which has been vacant since March.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders tweeted her support for Grisham, saying she “will be an incredible asset to the President and the country. I’m sad to leave the WH, but so happy to leave our team in such great hands. Stephanie will do a phenomenal job. Proud to have another mom and a great friend in this role.”
