With so many Democrats running for the nomination, unless your name is Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders or Kamala Harris, getting attention is a tall order.
Without the name recognition and the money of those aforementioned candidates, you’re going to have to get attention in other ways, mainly policy ideas and proposals.
Well, one of the lesser known candidates Andrew Yang has an idea that is likely to get some attention. Basically, it’s so bad that any recognition he’s likely to get for it, it’s going to be negative.
Yang, as he told Brian Stelter on “Reliable Sources,” he wants the government to begin funding journalism.
Yeah, we don’t need state-run news outlets. Anyone who wants to stay informed on current events and issues will be able to do that. I wonder if he’s ever heard of the internet?
Presidential candidate @AndrewYang says he supports government investment for newsrooms because "if you don't have local journalism, then voting becomes more polarized." pic.twitter.com/0vYOXPQIyf
