DNC tries hard to connect with young voters, embarrass themselves

Democrats are gearing up for the 2020 election. Nearly two dozen Democratic candidates are already in the race, running for the White House and some of them are truly terrible (Bill de Blasio and Kirsten Gillibrand).

Anyone who has even paid 10 minutes worth of attention to politics will come away with the idea that those running need to connect, empathize and sympathize with voters in order to win. Those candidates who are most able to understand the problems the people are facing stand the best chance of winning.

So far, candidates have tried and tried again to connect with voters and specific voting blocs, especially young people. Kirsten Gillibrand in particular has attempted and failed miserably to capture the attention of the younger generation. Instead, what has happened has been a number of downright cringeworthy moments.

Beto O’Rourke, in broadcasting his trips to the dentist and the barber, has tried this tactic of getting the attention of the younger crowd but much like Gillibrand, his polls numbers are awful as well.

Now, it appears that the Democrat National Committee is trying and failing badly to try and connect with young people. It’s pandering of the highest order and it’s just plain bad as they embarrass themselves.
