The Toronto Raptors are NBA champions after defeating the Golden State Warriors Thursday night. The Raptors’ series win snapped the Warriors dominance in the playoffs in which they had appeared in five straight NBA Finals, including two straight titles and three since 2015.
For the Raptors, it’s the franchise’s first title in their 24 years of existence. While the Raptors have one of the top five best players in the league on their roster in Kawhi Leonard, Jeremy Lin is also a member of the team. Now Lin is an NBA journeyman, having played for several teams in the last several seasons.
However, Lin originally burst onto the scene as a member of the New York Knicks, coming out of nowhere to have a number of 20 and 30 point games.
Well, in making it known that Jeremy Lin is finally an NBA champion, CBS Sports absolutely shredded one of the league’s biggest, most overhyped and overpaid players in the game, Carmelo Anthony.
Whether they meant to or not, their slam on Anthony is hilarious.
Some said he'd never win a title.
Some said he was washed up.
But he kept grinding.
He kept going.
