Elizabeth Warren turns down Fox’s invitation for a town hall calling them a ‘hate-for-profit racket that gives a megaphone to racists’

Democratic Presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren won’t be doing a town hall with Fox News. The network extended the Mass. Senator an invitation to hold the popular Q&A style forum and she vehemently turned them down.

Warren called the network  “a hate-for-profit racket that gives a megaphone to racists and conspiracists—it’s designed to turn us against each other, risking life and death consequences, to provide cover for the corruption that’s rotting our government and hollowing out our middle class.”

She went on to say Fox “balances a mix of bigotry, racism, and outright lies with enough legit journalism to make the claim to advertisers that it’s a reputable news outlet. It’s all about dragging in ad money—big ad money.”

And that the network is struggling. (Kind of sounds like Trump with the “failing New York Times”, right?)

And she refuses to ask “millions of Democratic primary voters to tune into an outlet that profits from racism and hate.”

This person wins the Internet for best response to her tweet thread.
