President Donald Trump enjoys giving people nicknames and once he bestows a moniker on someone, he uses it over and over.
So far he’s given us Crooked Hillary, Sleepy Joe Biden, Crazy Bernie and Pocahontas for Elizabeth Warren. Well, now South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg has a nickname, courtesy of Donald Trump.
On Friday, in an interview with POLITICO, Trump referred to the young, upstart candidate as Alfred E. Neuman, saying that “Alfred E. Neuman cannot become president of the United States.”
Now, for those who may not be aware, Alfred E. Neuman is the character on the cover of MAD Magazine. Apparently, Buttigieg was ignorant of this fact or at least acted as if he didn’t know and used it as a way to hit back at Trump.

Trump is onto something with his latest nickname.
Can we at least agree that Buttigieg *does* look like the Mad Magazine mascot? pic.twitter.com/J0npxFYqD0

MAD Magazine also responded to Buttigieg’s new moniker.
Who’s Pete Buttigieg? Must be a generational thing.
