It seems like the only time we hear about singer Joy Villa is when she wears a head-turning, conservative dress at a red carpet event somewhere. And she’s at it again, this time making a statement at the Daytime Emmy Awards.
Villa wore a pro-life dress to the event and her gown featured storks carrying babies with the words “Pro-life is pro-woman” spelled out on the skirt portion.
The singers says she was “encouraged not to go political by a few friends who are members of the #emmys.” As you can see, she didn’t listen.
I was encouraged not to go political by a few friends who are members of the #emmys Television Academy, fearing that I’d never be invited again. I almost listened but that would NOT be me. I stuck to my guns, my voice is not to be quieted. #prolifeisprowoman @savethestorks pic.twitter.com/yJdOYLz0xm

I love to carry the message of life & empower women. I’ve personally survived an abusive relationship years ago & was pressured to choose abortion, but I chose an open adoption & I have relationship with my daughter today! 🙌🏽❤️This is why I know #ProlifeIsProwoman @savethestorks pic.twitter.com/LsPDsP28lu
