Americans love comeback stories and we, by nature, always root for the underdog. So when Tiger Woods won the Masters a few weeks ago, it was hard not to be happy for the guy.
He’s battled back from issues, both personally and professionally, to win the green jacket. On Monday, President Donald Trump awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Trump perfectly summed why we all identified with Woods after his stunning victory at Augusta a few weeks ago.
“Your spectacular achievements on the golf course, your triumph over physical adversity, and your relentless will to win, win, win. These qualities embody the American spirit of pushing boundaries, defying limits, and always striving for greatness.” — President Trump pic.twitter.com/sZv4w2Gk2X
