Snopes fact checks satirical website ‘The Babylon Bee’

The fight against misinformation is real. The internet is littered with example after example of such misleading and/ or blatantly false new items.  For instance, for nearly two years CNN and MSNBC brought had commentator after commentator telling us that the President of the United States was a Russian plant.

Well, we’ve all seen how that turned out.

But now there seems to be another matter at hand and it goes to show, not necessarily that false or fake news isn’t prevalent, because it is, but it shows just how truly gullible and outright dumb some people are.

Earlier this week, the Christian satirical website “The Bablyon Bee” published a story saying that Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appeared on the popular daytime gameshow “The Price is Right” and guessed her favorite price on every item: free.

Well, every discerning people with an I.Q. in double digits could understand that such an article is completely fake, false and just mean to poke fun at the socialist from New York.

How do we know this? Well, simply by reading the website, one will find at the bottom of the website where it says: “The Babylon Bee is Your Trusted Source For Christian News Satire.”  But for whatever reason, SNOPES.com felt the need to actually fact check a satirical website.

Guess what they determined the satirical news item to be? You guessed it, through a thorough and complete investigation, Snopes.com said that, yes, it was in fact false.

Do people not understand what satire means?
