Consent condoms are a thing now

Sometimes you read about something and you just can’t wrap your brain around how dumb society is. In the era of #MeToo, condom companies are getting woke and creating products that require four hands to unwrap.

According to CBS News, Argentinian company Tulipán  created the “consent condom” which intends to raise awareness about consent in the bedroom.

That means you have to have your partner’s help in unwrapping that condom box before you get to it in the bedroom.

Right now, they are limited edition and were handed out at bars around Buenos Aires, but later this year, they will be available for people to purchase.

“Tulipán has always spoken of safe pleasure, but for this campaign, we understood that we had to talk about the most important thing in every sexual relationship — pleasure is possible only if you both give your consent,” Joaquin Campins of BBDO said in a statement.

In recent years, consent has been a big focal point, with states like California passing sexual consent laws.

Some people are criticizing the condom maker, saying the intentions are good but it won’t stop sexual assault and that making the packaging hard to open creates a problem for people with disabilities and mobility issues.
