Eric Holder was our nation’s top lawyer in the Obama administration and up until a few months ago, Holder was actually considering running for President of the United States.
Despite achieving such career and personal success, Holder apparently doesn’t think America is or has ever really been all that great of a place.
Holder was on MSNBC where he was asked about President Trump’s campaign slogan, Make America Great Again. In showing his displeasure and utter contempt for the phrase and honestly, the country in which he lives in, he asks “When exactly did you think America was great?” He then lists the country’s failures such as slavery and the Jim Crow South.
Is America a perfect place. No.
Has this country failed in some major ways? Of course we have, but the great thing about this country is that we seem to learn from our mistakes. This country may stumble and fall but it eventually gets it right and doesn’t quit until it does.
