ICYMI, the Green New Deal did not pass in the Senate. In fact, not one Democrat voted for it. So I guess we’ll all be dead in under twelve years now since this “crucial” piece of legislation intended to fight climate change wasn’t passed by the party that championed it.
Hawaii Senator Mazie Hirono was on MSNBC talking about the bill’s failure and shockingly Katy Tur decided to call her out on it.
Tur asked why so many Democrats voted “present” instead of “no” and Hirono responded because it was a “sham so-called debate by Mitch McConnell” because he “wanted to divide the Democrats.”
Watch below as Tur calls her out and asks why they wouldn’t vote for it anyway if it’s something Democrats believe in taking a stand on.
