Liberals praise NZ’s gun ban, wonder why the US can’t follow suit

In the wake of the New Zealand terrorist attack, Prime Minster Jacinda Arden swiftly banned all “military assault style semi-automatic weapons” and high capacity magazines.

Sales were immediately halted on the prohibited weapons and officials are developing a mandatory buyback program. More restrictions are expected to come out of a March 25th meeting.

Liberals in the US were quick to call Ardin a true leader and question why we can’t do the same here.

What they forget is that the United States has a Constitution that gives citizens the right to bear arms. New Zealand does not, making a change like this much easier.
