If nothing else, people know the name Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
However, that high name ID is likely because of her awful Green New Deal, which is nothing more than a massive government power grab and has no chance of ever becoming law, or for something dumb that she’s either said or tweeted.
Either way those aren’t great things to be known for, especially if you’re a 29-year-old freshman legislator who is up for reelection next year. Regardless, one national magazine believes Ocasio-Cortez is a force or in their words a “phenom.”
TIME released their April cover with the New York representative with a story about the congresswoman titled “Change Is Closer Than We Think.’ Inside Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Unlikely Rise.”
— TIME (@TIME) March 21, 2019
The story profiles Ocasio-Cortez’s life from childhood, college, volunteering for Bernie Sanders’ 2016 campaign and her election to Congress.
At times the author of the article gushes about the democratic socialist. She even drops this line:
She’s a political phenomenon: part activist, part legislator, arguably the best storyteller in the party since Barack Obama and perhaps the only Democrat right now with the star power to challenge President Donald Trump’s.
High praise but she’s not even eligible to run for the White House.
