MO lawmaker proposes bill requiring residents to own AR-15

In MO, state Rep. Andrew McDaniel introduced House Bill 1108 called the “McDaniel Militia Act”, which would require residents to own an AR-15.

If passed, every resident between the ages of 18 to 34 who is legally able to own a firearm would be required to purchase an AR-15 and would receive a tax credit equal to 75 percent of the cost of the AR-15 they bought.

So far, a hearing has not been scheduled but McDaniel is also responsible for House Bill 1052 which creates the “McDaniel Second Amendment Act.” HB 1052 would require everyone who is 21 years old and older, who can legally own a handgun, to get one. It also offered the tax credit similar to the proposed AR-15 bill.
