Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a sitting member of Congress. She actually has the power to make laws.
Unfortunately, that is absolutely, 100 percent true.
During a committee hearing Tuesday morning, Ocasio-Cortez was grilling the CEO of Wells Fargo about the Dakota Access Pipeline. At one point during her questioning, the freshman congresswoman asked the CEO about his company’s responsibility to clean up to any mess associated with the pipeline.
Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) asks Wells Fargo CEO Timothy Sloan: "Hypothetically, if there was a leak from the Dakota Access pipeline, why shouldn't Wells Fargo pay for the clean up of it?"
Sloan: "Because we don't operate the pipeline, we provide financing" pic.twitter.com/c6cShbStuk

She obviously has no idea how banks and financing works. Let’s also remember that not is she a member of Congress, she has an economics degree.
