Chelsea Manning jailed for refusing to testify on WikiLeaks

Chelsea Manning, the former Army intelligence analyst has been sentenced to jail by a Virginia judge after refusing to testify to a grand jury investigation into WikiLeaks.

Manning tweeted a statement yesterday that said the questioning violated her First, Fourth and Sixth Amendment rights and would not be answering their questions.

According to USA Today, the judge said she will remain in jail until she testified but her lawyers are asking for home confinement instead because of a medical condition.

Manning leaked military secrets but had her sentence commuted by President Obama in 2017.
