Linda Sarsour attacks Nancy Pelosi over house resolution on anti-semitism

Women’s March co-founder Linda Sarsour attacked Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi in a lengthy Facebook post last night. Sarsour is upset over the house resolution that condemns anti-Semitic rhetoric on the house floor.

In the post, Sarsour called Pelosi a “typical white feminist upholding the patriarchy doing the dirty work of powerful white men.” She also said they wanted Congresswoman Barbara Lee as Speaker of the House and that for years Democrats “were never swift to condemn said members or put out resolutions condemning islamophobia and/or standing in solidarity with Muslims on the record in Congress.”

Sarsour ended the rant by saying she stands firm with Representative Ilhan Omar. Our and “top priority is the safety of our sister and her family.”

While the resolution does not name Omar, recent comments about Israel by the congresswoman have led Democratic leaders to call on her to apologize for racist and anti-Semitic remarks.
