Sen. Hirono: Opposing the Green New Deal is crazy

The Green New Deal, while disguised as battling climate change, is all about the government attempting to seize more control.

The elimination of air travel, providing health care for all, providing education for all, “upgrading all existing buildings in the United States and building new buildings to achieve maximal energy efficiency, water efficiency, safety, affordability, comfort, and durability, including through electrification.”  are all ideas includedall ideas included in the bill.

Additionally, in an earlier version of the bill, that appeared on the Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s website, providing for the economic security of those unwilling to work was also included.

How much will all of these pie-in-the-sky liberal utopian ideas cost? One group has suggested that implementing all of these policies could be yours for the cost of $93 trillion.

But don’t let your heart be troubled, according to Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono.

She appeared on MSNBC where she told Andrea Mitchell that the real crazy position isn’t so much eliminating air travel but is instead opposing the Green New Deal.

I guess Senn. Hirono and the rest of her Democratic colleagues in the Senate won’t have any problem voting for it when and if Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell brings it up for a vote then.
