The beginning of the 2020 presidential primary is a little less than a year away but that’s not stopping voters from already throwing their support behind candidates.
A new poll from the University of New Hampshire takes a look at the Democratic presidential field and who voters in the “Live Free or Die” state currently prefer.

Democratic socialist Bernie Sanders, as of right now, leads the field with 26 percent. Bernie’s lead isn’t a big surprise given that he’s a sitting senator from nearby Vermont and that he won the state’s Democratic primary in 2016.
Likely the biggest surprise of the entire poll is the massive support that former Vice President Joe Biden receives. He’s not even announced a run yet but just keeps flirting with a potential campaign.
Also, the single digits that such candidates as Kirsten Gillibrand, Tulsi Gabbard, Cory Booker and Elizabeth Warren is also a bit shocking.
More than 600 random voters were polled between February 18 and February 26.
