Nancy Pelosi is not exactly a fan of Green New Deal

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants to change the United States, turning it into a decidedly more leftist country.  Her signature bill, The Green New Deal, is essentially all of her hopes and dreams in one entire bill.

She wants the government to seize more power in the name of climate change and bettering the environment. The freshman congresswoman commonly says that we “only have 12 years” to turn everything around.

She wants to get rid of air travel, upgrade every single building in the country and in a version that has since been taken off of her website, wants to provide economic security for those unwilling to work.

All in all, it’s an expensive pipe dream that will not be implemented.

One person who also isn’t a fan of the Green New Deal is Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

In an interview Pelosi gave to Rolling Stone she called it too broad and overreaching.

She goes on to say:

Our charge is about saving the planet. They have in there things like single-payer and . . .  what is it? Guaranteed income?

And then they have, I don’t know if it’s single-payer or Medicare for All. . . . It’s kind of, like, a broader agenda. All good values, but nonetheless, not what we hope to achieve with this focused, determined, decision-making.
