On Friday, Donald Trump is expected to declare a national emergency in order to pay for his much promised border fence on the southern border.
Former congressman and failed senate candidate Beto O’Rourke recently appeared on MSNBC with Chris Hayes and was asked about the wall and what he would do, if he would take it down.
Beto O'Rourke when asked, since Rep. @DanCrenshawTX asked on Twitter, if he would tear down the walls that are already in place: Yes and I think a referendum to do so would pass. pic.twitter.com/ENZuYvdqEa

O’Rourke answered the MSNBC commentator with an emphatic yes, saying that the existing parts of the fencing along the border has not made us safer.
He then went on to say that fencing on the border has actually lead to the deaths of thousands of those trying to come into the United States.
O’Rourke has said that he will make a decision on running for president by the end of February.
