Elizabeth Warren is officially in the 2020 Presidential race

When Mass. Sen. Elizabeth Warren formed a exploratory committee in December, it was only a matter of time before an official announcement came. Today, at a rally in the state she represents, Warren did just that.

Warren is promising to focus on the middle class, wealth inequality, and says “The rules in our country have been rigged for African Americans, women, LGBTQ Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, immigrants, people with disabilities. Let’s call it out.”

She also supports Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal.

Warren faces a tough race to become the Democratic nominee – she’ll have to compete with a younger crowd of rising stars in the party like Cory Booker, Kamala Harris and Kirsten Gillibrand.

It’s also unlikely that her claim of Native American heritage will help her with voters either.
