About everyone who has ever held office as a Democrat or voted Democrat has either announced a presidential run or is said to be seriously considering a run.
At this point, California Sen. Kamala Harris looks to be the media’s Democratic candidate of choice but that could be changing very, very soon.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, failed senatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke said that he’ll decide on a presidential run by the end of February.
O’Rourke, who became a media darling while running against Republican Ted Cruz, admitted that he has “been thinking about running for president.”
In the interview with Winfrey, O’Rourke refused to directly answer her question about a run. Instead, he said wants to make sure that his family is clearly away of what they would be getting into if he were opt for a run.
If O’Rourke were to get in, the media would find themselves in quite the pickle. Who would they support? CNN would also likely schedule a town hall with O’Rourke immediately, probably hours after he officially launches a campaign.
