After a delay, following the government shutdown, President Donald Trump will give the State of the Union address to a join session of Congress Tuesday night.
As is normal practice, the Democrats will give an official response to the president’s remarks. This year, failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams will give that speech. Abrams is reportedly being pushed to run for the U.S. Senate in Georgia in 2020.
Her speech is an big opportunity to increase her name awareness as she contemplates a another run for office.
Following her speech, potential Democratic candidate and Vermont Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders will also provide a response to President Trump. According to Sanders, he will provide his response on Facebook and Youtube, which will be the third consecutive year the Independent senator has done this.
Stacey Abrams is a great choice to deliver the Democratic response. I'm very much looking forward to her speech.
For the third year in a row, following the Democratic rebuttal I'll be on Facebook Live, Twitter and YouTube to respond to Trump. https://t.co/4xOCjkNwtF

Well, liberals are now upset with the democratic socialist.
“She’s outstanding! But listen to me instead.” Go away.

Can't stand to see a black woman leader in the spotlight, speaking against Trump/GOP and for the unified, energized Democratic Party you hate, eh Bernie? https://t.co/ji2vECv8vP

And for the third year in a row, I will completely ignore you.

Proving, yet again, you’re not on a united front with the Democrats and shouldn’t utilize the party for your own self-gain. If you run, run as a Republican. Primary Trump.

Because why allow the focus to be on a black woman when it could be diverted to a white man?
I think you dipped out too soon on the civil rights and feminist movements – you didn’t get to the lessons on using your privilege to AMPLIFY not divert 😡
