Colin Kaepernick’s lawyer unhappy Maroon 5 didn’t take a stand against the NFL’s ‘racism’

Maroon 5 just finished their Super Bowl halftime show and unless I missed it, there wasn’t anything controversial that happened beyond Adam Levine practically stripping onstage.

However, Colin Kaepernick’s lawyer is extremely unhappy with the band for not taking a stand again the NFL’s treatment of the former football player.

“It’s a cop-out when you start talking about, ‘I’m not a politician; I’m just doing the music.’ Most of the musicians who have any kind of consciousness whatsoever understand what’s going on here,” Kaepernick’s lawyer Mark Gerargos said.

Many other Hollywood stars decided to boycott the game, including director Ava DuVernay.

Levine addressed the controversy a few days ago, saying “No one thought about it more than I did. No one put more thought and love into this than I did. … I spoke to many people, most importantly though, I silenced all the noise and listened to myself, and made my decision about how I felt.”
