While every Democrat you’ve heard of and some that you haven’t are running for president, no Republican has stepped forward to announce a primary challenge to President Trump.
However, several names have been consistently mentioned as possibly mounting presidential bids. But on Tuesday morning, one of those people announced he would not be running in 2020.
Former Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake said on CBS that he would “not be a candidate” in 2020.

Flake has been a consistent and vocal critic of Trump and said on Tuesday that he hoped a Republican would step forward to run in the primary against the president but that it would not be him.
