Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez gets a lot of headlines and attention. She’s young, energetic and is constantly tweeting, retweeting and responding to people on social media. She says and does a lot of dumb things to get attention.
In an interview since being in office, Ocasio-Cortez claimed that it’s more important to be morally right than factually correct. She’s also claimed that the world will end in 12 years, if climate change is not adequately addressed.
The freshman congresswoman has also proposed a 70 percent tax for any income above $10 million to pay for her “Green New Deal” to battle climate change and fight inequality.
She’s also called President Donald Trump a racist, saying there is absolutely no question about it.
However, on Brian Stelter’s “Reliable Sources” Sunday, Laura Bassett, a former writer for The Huffington Post, none of those things Ocasio-Cortez has said is the reason why she gets so much negative attention.
"She's got a target on her back because she ticks every box that makes conservative men uncomfortable."

No, according to Bassett, the reason is that “she’s got a target on her back because she ticks every box that makes conservative men uncomfortable.”
She goes on to say that conservative men are uncomfortable Ocasio-Cortez is a woman, Latina, young, working class, and she’s a millennial.
Instead, of actually defending the truly idiotic things she’s said, liberals do what they always do when attacked, cry racism, sexism and use identity politics.
