California Sen. Kamala Harris is running for President of the United States.
While Harris announced her intentions Monday morning on “Good Morning America,” she made it official during a rally in her hometown of Oakland, California Sunday afternoon.

For the time being, the first-term senator appears to be the media’s choice for president. On Monday evening, CNN will hold a town hall only with Harris in Iowa, taking questions from voters with the event moderated by Jake Tapper.
Harris looks to be of only dozens of Democrats who could mount a run for president so the media’s preferred Democratic candidate could and will change a number of times between now and the time of the election.
