President Trump has responded to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s letter asking to postpone the State of the Union address with a letter of his own.
In it, the President informs the speaker that her trip abroad has been postponed until after the shutdown is over. The letter ends with “I look forward to seeing you soon and even more forward to watching our open and dangerous Southern Border finally receive the attention, funding, and security it so desperately deserves!”

Liberals didn’t find the response funny.
The Executive branch doesn't dictate what the Legislative branch and its members can do. If only Trump understand how our government worked.

That’s some childish bullshit right there.
Hold the vote. Nobody with half a brain believes that Democrats are responsible for this when the GOP leader in the Senate won’t hold the vote. Trump and McConnell are cowards. Afraid of a simple vote.https://t.co/SDjuqRxo68
