“Bird Box,” if you aren’t familiar with it, is a recently-released Netflix film starring Sandra Bullock.
In the thriller-horror film, characters, who seem to be momentarily overtaken by some mysterious force, commit suicide, usually in very graphic and bloody ways. It’s soon discovered, by the remaining characters, that if you go outside with your eyes uncovered you’re not likely to survive as this mysterious force will compel you to end your life. So, in order to combat this, character who do venture outside cover their eyes using a blindfold.
Well, for some unexplained reason, the “Bird Box challenge” has become a thing. People are doing everyday things while blindfolded. Sounds stupid, right? Well, apparently that’s the state of our society.
But one teenager in Utah recently turned up the stupid to 11.
A 17-year-old girl decided that she was going to participate in the “Bird Box challenge”……while driving. Yes, you read that correctly.
So, of course the teenager’s wildly stupid experiment ended in a crash. She hit another car, a pole and a finally, a wall. Luckily, no one was injured.
Bird Box Challenge while driving…predictable result. This happened on Monday as a result of the driver covering her eyes while driving on Layton Parkway. Luckily no injuries. pic.twitter.com/4DvYzrmDA2
