Love, who was recently defeated in her re-election bid, signed a two-year deal with the cable news network.
On Twitter Monday, Love announced her new gig and said that she’s looking forward to her job, promising “to offer a different, principled and unleashed perspective perspective.”
A new year brings new opportunities for elevated conversations about the issues that matter. My time in Congress has ended but the chance to engage Americans is only beginning – I’m excited to join CNN to offer a different, principled and unleashed perspective.

This move isn’t a surprise. It allows Love to keep her face, name and opinions out in the public as she’ll most likely run for office at some point in the future.
