Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren formally announced that she’s formed an exploratory committee for a presidential run in 2020. Warren released a video today, telling supporters “If we organize together, if we fight together, if we persist together, we can win. We can and we will.”
Warren also says America’s middle class is under attack and blames big corporations and Wall Street, much like her colleague Bernie Sanders did during his bid last go around.
It’s not an actual Presidential campaign announcement yet – but if Warren starts raising money and reaches $5,000, she’ll have to formally file with the FEC. According to testing the water documents, Warren can begin conducting “a variety of activities to test the waters. Examples of permissible testing-the-waters activities include polling, travel and telephone calls undertaken to determine whether the individual should become a candidate.”
