Government shut down looming as Trump tells GOP he won’t sign spending bill

After a meeting with GOP leaders, President Trump has said he will not sign the spending bill over border security concerns.

Speaker Paul Ryan addressed the press, saying “The president informed us he will not sign the bill. We have very serious concerns about securing our border. The president said, ‘I will not sign this bill.’ So we’re going to go back and work on adding border security to this.”

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders also confirmed the news, saying ““We protect nations all over the world, but Democrats are unwilling to protect our nation. We urgently need funding for border security and that includes a wall.”
