The media does not like Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. Just look at the way they propped up and slobbered over Democrat Beto O’Rourke.
Despite the media’s best efforts, Cruz prevailed and held onto his seat and come January, Cruz will still be a member of Congress and O’Rourke will not. However, even though they miserably failed in their mission to take down Cruz, that isn’t stopping them from taking shots at him.
In a recent skit on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel discusses a demonic statue being displayed at the Illinois state capitol building with God, played by comedian Billy Crystal, and Satan, played by Foo Fighters frontman, Dave Grohl.
However, at one point during the skit, God and Satan play rock, paper, scissors to see who will end up with Cruz for eternity. Neither wants him, but eventually it’s decided that the Devil lost and so he has to take him.

Cruz responded to the skit on Twitter and he didn’t hold much back in his response, taking a shot right back at Kimmel.
Really getting into the Christmas spirit, Jimmy Kimmel just aired a skit with “God & Satan” arguing and eventually deciding that I should go to Hell. It’s almost as if Jimmy’s feelings are still hurt that I kicked his ass at hoops…. https://t.co/FuehUsGHwX

Was Kimmel’s move a cheap and uncalled for shot, with the joke literally coming out of nowhere, not having anything to do with the rest of skit? Yes, of course it was unnecessary, but it was also a skit, it was comedy. Maybe don’t take everything so personally.
