The 2020 presidential election will be here before we know it. But before that happens the process of the Democrats selecting their candidates will begin, likely rather soon too.
There have been several Democratic politicians who have been talked about as potentially getting into the 2020 presidential field. Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Kristen Gillibrand, Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker and Kamala Harris are frequently mentioned whenever the topic of 2020 is raised.
However, another popular name among Democrats, sure to get plenty of attention should he announce, is former Vice President Joe Biden. Biden, who was flirted with the idea of running in 2016, ultimately decided against a run, but is now said to be thinking about launching another run for the White House.
In the latest CNN poll, Biden captures the most support about Democrats.

Biden comes away with nearly a 1/3 of support from all Democrats polled, with a 30 percent, more than double of that of Bernie Sanders. Coming in third place is the young Democrat and media favorite Beto O’Rourke.
So, with these kinds of poll numbers, Biden’s advanced age and Beto’s popularity and relative youth, it would make sense for the Dems to at least consider the idea of Biden-Beto 2020 ticket, right?
Well, that’s exactly what’s being discussed by Biden’s team. While neither has officially stated their intention to into the race, it does make sense for both to consider such a move. There is the political and government experience and name recognition of Biden and the youthfulness, wit, popularity and charm of Beto that will attract the younger crowd who were so crucial in Obama’s victories.
